Content that is downloaded only works for the current login session, so you cant download material and then access it when not in wifi range. Im giving it 1 star mostly because their billing policy is deceiving. I bought a 12-month membership for $50. Then they charged me $50 for 2 more months in a row. Apparently when you buy the yearly plan, you have to cancel the recurring monthly payments after the first month, which they dont tell you about. I cant get anyone to email me back from customer service so now Im out an extra $100 for an app that we dont even use. Poor customer service and poor user design.

If youve already purchased books through other standalone Ruckus apps, you need to buy those books again. My daughter loves the My Little Pony books, and I thought it would be convenient to have one app with those books and any others we get. But you cant restore those previous purchases. You need to buy them again. No thanks.

Saw the advertisement in the old app. As there are numerous issues with the old app I gave this one a try. Unfortunately as mentioned previously there is no way to transfer previous purchases. Particularly chafing are the assertions that content would be available on other devices. Since it is longer possible to register via the old app, and the old app doesnt recognize accounts created with the new app, this appears to be misrepresented. This caveat seems to be found only on the website FAQ ( the link to the FAQ from within the app doesnt work). For anyone else considering a purchase: I had already purchased Ruckus reader books from a prior Ruckus bookshelf, will they appear in ?My Stuff? or do I have to purchase them again? Any purchase done outside of the new single app will not be available. You will have to purchase that content again.

Nice concept advertised as free the app is free and there is one free video other than that it will add up to some big purchases fast. Glad it lets you disable purchases!

I got this app to use with a few books I had already bought through the my little pony app. They arent available and the FAQ says I have to repurchase them. The old app is no longer on my iPod and its not in the App Store either, so they basically screwed me out of $10. I hope they fix this!

I was out with my son and he wanted to read a book, so I thought Id try this app. I spent $4 on an in-app purchase which is something I never ever do but thought it would be worth it in this instance. Well after I paid, THEN the app says my internet connection isnt good enough to download the book. Why wouldnt they do a simple check of that BEFORE taking my money?! That is ridiculous. So then back at home I re-open it and try to download on my super-fast internet connection. It takes forever, and then eventually fails. So now I am trying at work and well see. Id like to actually get my book for the future, but I know Ill NEVER buy another book through this product again. Dont waste your money.

Classic bait and switch! Downloaded App a few weeks ago and downloaded the free books to try out. Go to try the new free book today and now NONE of the previous books are free - there is now only ONE free book. I am not paying for what was free! Uninstalling - there is equal quality free books out there. They shot themselves the foot..

Purchased a series of books available in the Ruckus app. When going through the books and when prompted to register for progress reports and additional selections received error message and that I had to download the Ruckus app and register there. After successfully downloading the app and registering, it turns out that the app does not sync with individual purchases and you are prompted to have to purchase the same books again. Additionally, the Ruckus app registration does not sync with the book series registration. 8 attempts to contact the app owners through their contact and support process failed. Free app but useless.

I have several of the individual apps for my daughter and thought this would be a good way to consolidate her books. Unfortunately they dont allow transfers and suggest buying the same books again. Horrible idea.

If there is 0 star I will give that rating. I spent $13.99 for Polar Express and the ebook I got is even worse than the paper book. The font is too small, narration stop and start over in strange places, no interaction on the picture at all!! The whole reading experience is so confusing. How can they charge me $13.99 for such a crap? Pls give my money back!

I downloaded the free My little pony title then after seeing how much my kid liked it, I bought the bundle of books. Awesome! But it wouldnt let me register from the Ruckus features...unless I downloaded the RUCKUS app. Ok fine, I downloaded that app too except once I registered there, it wouldnt load my previous purchases, and basically told me to just go ahead and "buy those books again" ? Thanks but no thanks. I will no longer purchase anymore products from Ruckus after this. What a let down. Buyer beware.

I love love love this app! Its great for when youre on the go and you want your little one to read and be really entertained instead of just playing a game. Its fun and I always recommend it to all of my friends!!

Its a shame that theres negative feedback on this app considering the excellent titles held by this company, including My Little Pony and Crayola (adored by my 5 year old daughter) and Chuck and Friends and Dino Dan (loved by my 2 year old son). There are free books that you can download, and they rotate every month or so. The books in my opinion are reasonably priced, especially given that my kids read them constantly. Im sure the changeover from the Ruckus Reader App to this app has some glitches that the company will sort out soon. Love this app! Thanks for making car trips tolerable!

So I will uninstall and reinstall the app so I can see if that will help. I hate paying for apps that dont work. Its a hassle to get refunds!

My daughter (who is skilled at app interfaces) gets very frustrated with this. She bought the my little pony book that has a game in which they tap on a word in the story. The word is nestled within a lot of other type and her finger just cant tap it in the precise way the app requires. Also, if she doesnt touch the sparkling object just right, the text replays. If the makers of this app could hear her cries of frustration Im sure they would change it!

I purchased a My Little Pony book that allows you to collect words as you read through the book, then you use the collected words to complete pictures. Except my daughters collected pictures dont show up and pictures can never be completed. Please fix! I paid $4 for this?

When I downloaded this app, I made a account and logged in. I then turned the app off for the night and in the morning, I had to sign in again which did not please me. I realized it said that it was not a accout
